Mailbox size limit warning on groupwise
If you see a message about your mailbox exceeding its disk space this is due to the migration. Please just click OK to access your mailbox. This will also stop you from being able to send any email from groupwise. All new email must be sent using Exchange/Outlook.
Email Migration Login Instructions.
On Monday July 12th we will be redirecting all incoming email from the GroupWise server to the new exchange email server. Up until this point you will be able to send email from both GroupWise and exchange but all incoming mail will go to GroupWise. After Monday July 12th all incoming email will be directed to the exchange server. We plan to begin moving everyone’s existing email to the new system at this time.
To login to your new email account you will need to use the Outlook Web App, a link to this will be located on the home page of www.capacschools.us . Your username will be <first initial of first name><full last name> (e.g. CMILLER) and your password will be the last four digits of your social security number.
Once all incoming email has been directed to the new exchange server there will be a period of time where you will need to use GroupWise to access any old email and exchange to access your new email. This will be temporary while we move your existing email from the old GroupWise to the new exchange system. Rather than making email completely unavailable during the migration period we will keep both systems online.
This process involves us resetting your GroupWise password to match you new exchange password and logging into both mailboxes and manually moving email from one system to the other.
Once we have completed the migration process for all users we will remove the GroupWise web access link from the school website.
